Mens Shed
A Men's Shed is a place where all men, regardless of age, background or ability:
- Are respected, valued and belong and can comfortably use and pass on their practical skills and knowledge.
- Learn through doing stuff together - each man is a teacher and a learner, each having different levels of skills, professional and practical, to share collectively.
- Can come together and help out in their communities.
- Can just come and have a chat and a cup of tea/coffee if that is all they're looking for.
- Can talk about things that are important to them and can improve their own wellbeing by keeping physically, mentally and socially active.
Woodwork
Woodworking is the biggest activity within our shed.
The shed caters for people through all levels of woodworking, for someone who knows nothing about the craft to skilled craftsmen.
We make everything outlined in the activities/projects section. We also help out charity groups as well as the community.
If you would like to see more of our woodoworking, feel free to visit or keepp an eye on our Facebook page.

Sheds for Life is a community-based health promotion
programme aimed at supporting the physical, mental

The development of Sheds for Life commenced in 2016 and has been guided by the needs, wishes and feedback of the men’s sheds members throughout Ireland. The Sheds for Life vision is a future where all men’s sheds members can enjoy physical and mental health and wellbeing to their full potential.
The Irish Men’s Sheds Association had designed a 10-week programme in conjunction with the sheds and a host of national healthcare organisations. The Sheds for Life programme is being piloted with sheds in counties Kildare, Waterford, Limerick and Louth across 2019.
